Loka Chapter 1: Chandra follows Chandra, a mysterious woman summoned from Sweden to Karnataka by Moothon (the Elder), the leader of a secret organization.
Leading a quiet life in Bengaluru, Chandra works night shifts in a café while keeping a low profile. Opposite her apartment lives Sunny, a medical college dropout who is infatuated with his mysterious neighbor.
However, their peaceful existence is disrupted when Chandra gets entangled in an organ trafficking ring, triggering a chain of events that exposes her true identity, Kaliyanakattu Neeli, a mythological creature from folklore.
The rest of the story tells how Neely, with the help of her new companions and other mysterious creatures, fights the forces that threaten their existence. A sequel film titled Loca: Chapter 2 has been confirmed by the producers, with Tovino Thomas leading the venture.
