Netflix, in collaboration with red chilli entertainment private. Ltd., has unveiled the much awaited first look Ba*** DS of Bollywood marking the beginning of the official direction of Aryan Khan. Streaming giant shared a teaser in his social media platforms, promising the audience to be an unconventional, high-energy series.
Aryan Khan converted the storyteller into Netflix
The teaser opens with his father Shah Rukh Khan starrer classic reminiscent of a romantic tone with a voiceover MohabbatiaIndifferent for Bollywood’s Golden Era. However, the atmosphere quickly changes, descending a cutting punchline that indicates departure from the conference. While the voice can remind the audience of Shah Rukh Khan, no one other than Aryan, who displays delivery, intentions and freshness, has been introduced.
With this teaser, Aryan Khan steps into the headlines as a storyteller in itself. His initial words in the video explain the essence of the show: “Bollywood – Jisse Aapne Saalon Se Pyaar Bhi Kiya Aar Vaar Bhi Kiya, Main Bhi Whi Whi Karunga, Bohot Saara Pyaar … aur thoda sa vaar.” The line shows that the series will celebrate Bollywood’s attraction, while combining Shraddha with rebellion, will also criticize its clich.
Described as “fun, film, and a little zaida”, the show aims to stretched the line between tribute and satire. It promises to be provocative, yet lies, yet styled chaotic, brings forward a voice that represents a generational change in Bollywood stories and consumes.
The series features a contingent of artists including Bobby Deol, Laxman, Sahar Bambba, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Manish Chaudhary, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Vijayant Kohli and Gautam Kapoor. With such a diverse lineup, there are high expectations for a multi-layered story packed with drama, humor and self-awareness.
Behind the curtain, Ba*** Bollywood’s DS has heavyweight banking. Gauri Khan acts as a producer, while Boney Jain and Akshat Verma play the role of executive manufacturers. Aryan Khan co-produced the series with Bilal Siddiqui and Manav Chauhan, the three were also credited as writers.
Teaser concluded with the announcement of Netflix that a detailed preview of the series would be released on August 20, which sets the platform for one of the most discussed debut in recent memory.
