The much awaited hindi romantic film Supreme beautificationStarring Siddharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, Malayali material has created a wave of resentment among the creators. Many creators have voiced strong objections for the portrayal of the film of Kerala culture – and now the film’s makers accused the film’s silenceing dissatisfaction after the removal of important positions from the Instagram.

Singer and RJ Pavithra Menon were already publicly criticized for the portrayal of Malayali women in the trailer, especially targeting stereotypeical illustrations that include the Zasmine flowers worn in the hair and Mohaniyattam dance scenes in everyday life. In her now-in-law, she asked, “Women in Kerala do not walk to wear jasmine flowers and dance Mohiniyam.” The video was removed by Instagram by the Copyright claim by Madock Films.
Menon shared a screenshot of the takedown notice and the irony is “is” happy Independence Day for everyone. ” Unpublished, he re -uploaded the video, expressing his disappointment that a Hindi actor was selected to represent a Malayali character. He asked, “What is the problem in employment to a proper Malayali actor? Are we less talented? It does not happen in Kerala. We do not wear jasmine flowers or do mohiniam in offices and homes.” He further suggested to simplify the pronunciation challenges, “Just use Trivandrum instead of Thiruvananthapuram – we will be satisfied.”
Another material manufacturer, Vedangi, resonated this criticism and level the allegations against the film’s team. In a new video, he said, “The team behind this film is currently suppressing all the Malayali creators. Many creators have complained about this. Instead of doing a thorough study, they have chosen to capitalize on the culture of Kerala. The depiction is extremely touched and derogatory.” He also emphasized that his critics fall under a fair use under Section 52 of the Copyright Act, arguing, “We are free to express our criticism. However, every Mallu manufacturer who mocked the trailer has received copyright violation notices. It is silent, pure and simple.
This backlash adds another layer to the surrounding dispute Supreme beautificationAfter dissatisfaction with the Christian community on a romantic sequence filmed in a church. The community called for the removal of that scene from the film’s song.
