Amitabh Bachchan, like every year, expresses dedication to Lord Ganesha by contributing to the most popular Ganpati pandal of Mumbai, Lalbagcha Raja. Experienced actor, who is a regular visitors to the temple with his family, made a liberal offer of Rs 11 lakh this year.
Amitabh Bachchan donated Rs 11 lakh to Lalabagcha Raja
In a video shared by celebrity photographer viral Bhayani, Lalbuga Raja Secretary Sudhir Salvi examined Rs 11 lakh near the grand statue of Lord Ganesha. The caption with the video reads, “Amitabh Bachchan ji generously donated 11 lakh rupees to Lalbagcha Raja, which was obtained by Secretary Sudhir Salvi ji!”
While many accepted the gesture as a mark of faith, a part of social media users voiced rejection. Several nebisens argued that donations could be directed to relief efforts for states struggling with severe floods, including Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu.
One user commented, “The rhythm of Punjab would get more than Karte.” Another wrote, “Is Faida Idhar Carne Ki? Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu and Kashmir are suffering from the worst time with floods … they should donate there.
A separate comment reads, “Donate this money there is needed.
Talking about the professional front, the 82 -year -old has currently been seen hosting his popular show, Kurtapati, Kurtapati.
