Exclusive: Sunny Deol in talks to find Anil Sharma on Coal King; Gadar 3 also in progress

In 2023, Sunny Deol and Anil Sharma scripted the story with Gadar 2, while the film was moving forward to win more than RS 500 crosses to emerge as one of the biggest superproductions in Indian cinema. Since then, there have been several reports and conjectures on the meeting of Sunny Deol and Anil Sharma. Earlier in an interview, Anil Sharma had confirmed to IHNS that Gadar 3 was in preparation and that the writers work on an idea to extend the world of Gadar in trilogy. And now IHNS has learned exclusively that Anil Sharma recently met Sunny Deol and discussed a larger than life drama entitled Coal King.

A Share Source: “Anil Sharma and Sunny Deol have discussed several original ideas in the past 2 years – and the one that has excited them at that time is a coal drama larger than life in a discovery of the coal mafia.

The source also informs that the talks are in emerging stages, and it will take time for things to materialize. “In addition to Coal King, Anil Sharma is also working on Gadar 3 as a large -scale period action film. A call for his neighbor will be taken immediately at the end of this year, but the three scripts are currently on which he is worked simultaneously,” adds the source.

Speaking of Sunny Deol, the actor runs on a crowded schedule. He is currently shooting with Sidharth P Malhotra for an original Netflix actuator, followed by a large action thriller produced by Excel Entertainment. He also played the role of Lord Hanuman in Ramayana and will join the shooting towards the end of 2025. In the exit Slate, there is Border 2 and Lahore: 1947 for the arrival during the coming year.
