The Superman suite, Man of Tomorrow, is in preparation for the DC Studios, and in the middle of anticipation, James Gunn has revealed what fans can expect from the next film. The film was announced by the DC chief shortly after the star of David Corenswet struck the screens, and he shared with the public that the actor will return to resume his role from the superhero.
Previously, Gunn shared an animated photo of Superman and Lex Luthor, followed by Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult, who also republished the photo. In legend, the Boss DC shared the title and the release date.
What can Man of Tomorrow fans wait?
James Gunn appeared in the latest episode of Howard Stern’s podcast, where he revealed that fans could see Superman and Lex Luthor come together to fight against a greater threat. The director explained: “It is a story on Lex Luthor and Superman who had to work together to a certain extent against a much greater threat.”
The filmmaker added: “It’s more complicated than that, but it’s a large part of that. It is as much a Lex film as a superman film. I loved working with Nicholas Hoult.”
Gunn then shared that he could relate to the character of Lex Luthor and therefore wanted to create something with the characters of Corenswet and Hoult.
According to the media, Lois Lane by Rachel Brosnahan would also join the rest of the actors. The film should take place on the floors in April 2026.
Meanwhile, Superman turned out to be a successful kick -off from the DC universe and was postponed by season 2 Peacemaker. The studios have aligned several projects, which also include Supergirl, Clayface and Lantern.
The man of tomorrow will be released in theaters on July 9, 2027.
