The Conjuring: Last Rites, with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, started on a good note but lost momentum during the week. Although the film became a success in India, the expectations were much more with the kind of opening it had and managed to rely on its superb opening weekend.
The opening at Rs 17 crosses on the first day, the last rites ended the opening week at Rs 65.50 Core, including paid previews. The film only added RS 8.50 crosses the second weekend, followed by a significant drop during the week. From its second Monday to Thursday, the film hit only Rs 3.70 crosses, with 80 Lakh rupees to come today.

With the arrival of Jolly LLB 3 by Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi in the cinemas, The Conjuring: Last Rites should brake everything soon. Based on current trends, the horror film is likely to finish its theatrical race at less than 85 drills of net in India.
