Advocate Sanaa Rais Khan, who is representing Nadidwala, issued a sharp statement underlining the gravity of the alleged violation. He commented, “Intellectual property is not a matter of casual borrowing, it is a life of creativity. The unauthorized exploitation of my customer’s prestigious character is not just a violation, it is theft in its most obvious commercial form. The law will not allow the weakening of the rights that have been earned by laws and enthusiastically preserved.”
While Nadidwala himself has not released an official remarks, the step indicates its intention to secure the legacy of the cult comedy series. Actor Paresh Rawal brought Babura to life Hera Feri (2000), directed by Priyadarshan, and later Hera far again (2006), starred by late Neeraj Vora. Along with Rawal, Akshay Kumar, as Sath, Raju and Sunil Shetty, made a iconic trio as Shyam, which converted films into permanent blockbuxers.
