Exclusive: Rishab Shetty says that the new episode of Kantara will have a breathtaking moment similar to the original

Kantara: Chapter 1, with Rishab Shetty in the main role, is planned for the theatrical release on October 2, 2025. Directed by Shetty itself, the film presents Rukmini Vasanth and Gulshan Devaiah as co-chiefs, bringing us back to the origins of duration and its culture.

In an exclusive interview with IHNS, Rishab Shetty talked about the coming film and the question of whether it would offer an unforgettable moment as an emblematic climax of Kantara (2022).

Speaking with IHNS, Rishab Shetty pointed out with confidence that there will be cases in the film that will have a breathtaking brand on viewers. The actor also explained what he felt after receiving unanimous support for the apogee of Kantara.

Rishab Shetty said: “Certainly. I think that each film industry, whether Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam film industry, and outside, many directors, producers and technicians share such a good gesture every time they see me.”

“The reception I obtained after Kantara of the public, I can never forget that. It was very fresh. You know that it is as if we see a lion face to face in real life, you would feel frightened, right? I was frightened and exceeded like that when it happened.

Further on in the conversation, we asked Rishab Shetty how he felt he had major stars like Hrithik Roshan, Prabhas, Sivakarthikeyan and Prithviraj Sukumaran support the film and present the trailer.

According to his own words, “I am so grateful to them. That it is Hrithik Roshan Sir, Sivakarthikeyan Sir, Prithviraj Sir and Prabhas Sir. They had all supported us the last time, and I am so happy that such big stars presented the trailer for the film, we all unit as a single fraternity of Indian film.”

About Kantara: Chapter 1

Kantara: Chapter 1 is a mythological period film, written and directed by Rishab Shetty. Serving as a prequel to Kantara (2022), the film should deepen the traditions and explore the ancestral conflict which was only briefly teased in the first episode.

In addition to the main actors, the film should present Jayaram, Pramod Shetty, Rakesh Poojari, Prakash Thuminad, and more in key roles.
