Our IP lawyers are responding to the related business associations and taking all the necessary steps to validate and preserve our legal rights.
The studio also shared the official trademark certificate (application number 1662053, class 41), in which Lata Mohan Iyer is listed as the owner, which confirms her claim on the title.

Despite Bhandarkar’s objection, Legend Studios confirmed that the sequel is moving forward. Directed by Ajay Bahl, the world is set for release worldwide on 3 December, 2026. The manufacturers described the project as a “re -sequel” that will retain the essence of the origin by presenting a modern, gritty story for contemporary audiences.
