Those were better times considering the health of the box office.
The biggest challenge these films face today is the erosion of the theatrical base by digital. There’s an eight-week window, but audiences are willing to wait for films that lack anticipation. Jolly LLB 3 managed to garner appreciation, but since initial interest was low, it did not gain the same traction as films in the past. What is needed is to make the theater window so long that it becomes inconvenient for the audience to wait.
