Actor-filmmaker-activist Sonu Sood, who made a huge impact as a philanthropist during the Covid pandemic, is set to direct a new film this time based on the socio-political scenario of Bihar.
Sonu Sood’s next film as a director and actor is an action film based on Bihar
Talking exclusively on this, Sonu Sood said, “I have just finished writing the film. Apart from playing the lead role, I will also be directing the film. So, it is an action film. I will definitely announce it in a big way because Bihar is a state that is very close to my heart. I have grown up in Bihar and have studied the dynamics of the state closely.”
But Sonu Sood is not interested in doing a political drama like a documentary. “I have chosen Bihar’s World this time for its dramatic potential, and it will definitely be an action film. Something that all of us will be proud of. We have already been working on the details of the film for the last 7-8 months. Now, I will come up with a big announcement very soon and obviously I am going to call you first.”
Sonu’s last directed film was a tremendous action film. FatehHe has his own opinion about the film’s feasibility and audience. “Sir, I don’t see cinema just as a money-making machine. Of course, I want my films to do well. Who doesn’t want success? But for me, the public is not just my film’s audience. They are my extended family. We have a very deep relationship with them. I don’t see them as a profit-making machine.”
During the COVID pandemic, Sonu Sood helped thousands of people with transportation to their homes, medicines, oxygen for emergency surgeries, financial assistance, education, etc.
