Prabhasahanu, starring Prabhas in the lead role, is considered a period action drama set during pre-independence India. The Rebel star is expected to feature as a British Indian Army officer in the film. Reportedly, the film is expected to be titled Fauji.
Internet sensation Imanvi plays the lead role, while veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty, Jaya Prada and Anupam Kher play important roles. With large-scale action, intense storytelling and state-of-the-art VFX, the film promises to deliver a stunning cinematic experience.
Prabhas’s work front
Prabhas was last seen in the lead role in the sci-fi mythological epic Kalki 2898 AD directed by Nag Ashwin. The story unfolds in a post-Pralaya future where the birth of Kalki, the tenth and final incarnation of Lord Vishnu, is predicted.
As the world suffers under the rule of a tyrannical leader, Yaskin, a group of rebels rise to protect the prophecy and ensure the birth of Kalki. The film also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in co-lead roles.
Recently it was revealed that the makers of Kalki have broken ties with Deepika Padukone. Although her replacement has not been officially announced yet, Alia Bhatt is reportedly the top contender.
Looking ahead, Prabhas also has Spirit and Salaar: Part 2 in the pipeline.
