After Jolly LLB 3, Akshay Kumar has an interesting lineup of films releasing in 2026. He is set to return to another world of comedy and chaos with the third installment of the popular Welcome franchise, Welcome to the Jungle. IHNS has now exclusively learned that Akshay Kumar will begin the 15-day shooting schedule of the film in November.
According to a source close to the development, “This schedule will focus on the key segments featuring Akshay and the cast. The team is planning to complete the remaining schedule by early next year as it gears up for a grand release around mid-2026. A major portion of the shooting has been completed. The makers are eyeing a theatrical release in mid-2026, marking one of the most awaited comebacks in the comedy world of Bollywood.”
Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Welcome to the Jungle is said to be one of the greatest comedy entertainers of the moment, packed with bigger-than-life sets, huge star cast and trademark Welcome-style craziness.
Welcome to the Jungle will star Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Paresh Rawal, Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez among others. With Akshay returning to the comic space, fans can expect laughter on the big screen. The Welcome franchise was announced for 2023 and faced several delays, but it managed to keep moviegoers interested.
Meanwhile, Kumar’s next film ‘Bhoot Bangla’ is about to release. Directed by Priyadarshan, this horror-comedy marks her reunion with Akshay Kumar after 14 years. Interestingly, AK also has Haiwaan directed by Priyadarshan. And this upcoming thriller reunites Akshay Kumar with Saif Ali Khan after 17-18 years. It is the Hindi remake of the Malayalam hit Oppam.
