Bad Girl is scheduled to release on OTT platform JioHotstar and will start streaming from November 4, 2025. The platform made the official announcement through its social media handles.
Sharing the update, the platform wrote, “Some stories are too ‘bad’ to ignore. #BadGirl streaming from 4th November only on JioHotstar.”

Bad Girl is the story of Ramya, a young woman who dreams of finding the right man and experiencing a perfect love story. However, from his school days to college, he is forced to conform to social norms and family expectations.
Even as an adult, Ramya continues to struggle to find the love she wants, as society and her family repeatedly label her a “bad” girl. The film explores how she deals with these challenges while managing the turmoil going on in her mind.
Bad Girl cast and crew
Bad Girl stars Anjali Sivaraman in the lead role. The actress previously appeared in the Netflix series Class, which was the Hindi-language adaptation of the Spanish crime thriller Elite. She is also the daughter of playback singer Chitra Iyer.
Apart from Anjali, the film stars Shantipriya, Saranya Ravichandran, Hridhu Aaron, Teejay Arunasalam, Sashank Bommireddipalli and many others in lead roles.
The film is written and directed by Varsha Bharath, who previously worked as an assistant director on films like Udayam NH4, Visaranai and Dhanush’s Vadachennai.
The film is co-produced by Vetrimaaran along with Anurag Kashyap under the banner of Grass Roots Film Company. Notably, it is the last project built under Vetrimaaran’s company, which has since been declared defunct.
Bad Girl features musical tracks and background score composed by Amit Trivedi, with Preeta Jayaraman, Jagadish Ravi and Prince Anderson handling the cinematography. Radha Sridhar served as editor.
Ahead of its theatrical release in India, Bad Girl premiered at the 54th International Film Festival Rotterdam on February 7, 2025.
