Aahana S Kumra to star opposite Purab Kohli in children’s film Putul
Ahana plays Megha, a working mother of six-year-old Putul, who is going through a tumultuous marriage with Purab Kohli and is looking for a divorce. Sharing her experience of working on the film, the actress said, “I shot for this project in Dehradun about two years ago and had a great time. We shot at the beginning of the year and the weather was great.”
Ahana becomes nostalgic as she reflects on her experience. She says, “I spent about a month there and I have visited the city a lot with my sister since my childhood. We visit there annually. Thus, Dehradun is an integral part of my existence.”
Conducted by Radheshyam Pipalwa. effigy Jagran was screened at the film festival and Ahana feels that it is the best platform for the film. “It’s one of the biggest film festivals in India and the film was screened in Meerut, which is my mother’s hometown. We had a houseful screening and the turnout was very good. I was pleasantly surprised to see how the film turned out.”

The film is about relationships, and this film festival serves as the ideal platform for indie films, as it focuses on bringing cinema closer to its audience and connecting the film with the right audience.
