The madness of a crazy person continued to create havoc on the second Wednesday also. The film made Rs. Earned Rs 3 crore today, down 10 percent compared to Monday. The total earning of the film was Rs. Nett in India Rs 52.75 crore. It is expected to maintain good traction going forward as the young audience is driving the business after the Diwali holidays.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, the romantic drama should aim to take a good jump in the coming weekend as there are no significant releases lined up, barring Baahubali: The Epic and the re-release of a few Shah Rukh Khan films. The film has been accepted by the audience due to its viral music track and attractive promotional materials. The hangover of Harshvardhan Rane’s Sanam Teri Kasam (re-release) also boosted its business to some extent.
Depending on how strong the week has been, the film should now aim for a close of Rs. 85-90 crores. However, Sanam Teri Kasam (re-release) and Syara also performed very well on weekdays and then slowed down rapidly. The same is likely to happen here as the film is attracting a similar audience. In that scenario, the expected total amount of a crazy person’s crazy money would be around Rs. 75 crores, which is again an insane figure for such a small budget film.
This film has already emerged as a hit film and the highest grossing film of Harshvardhan Rane’s career. It remains to be seen how well it performs in the coming few weeks. Since Ajay Devgan has not had any significant releases till De De Pyaar De 2, there is good scope for him to continue his great run in theatres.
