The trailer, which marks the return of director Milap Milan Zaveri to the comedy sphere, faced sharp criticism from a section of netizens for its language and suggestive scenes. One journalist called the trailer “ridiculous”, quoting one dialogue to highlight its lack of sensitivity.
Responding to the criticism, Zaveri took a measured and respectful approach. Responding directly to the journalist, he wrote, “Respect your opinion brother. Hope the audience enjoys it,” indicating that he was not bothered by the negative comments and was confident in the entertainment value of the film.
However, social media reactions remained divided. While some users questioned the tone of the film, others compared it to Riteish Deshmukh’s upcoming historical drama on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, suggesting that the actor may face contrasting expectations from the audience.
Despite online chatter, producers are optimistic. Backed by Zee Studios and Waveband Productions in association with Maruti International and Balaji Motion Pictures, fun 4 It is being billed as “the biggest comedy entertainer of the year”.
