Bollywood actor Govinda’s wife Sunita Ahuja recently joined IHNS for an exclusive interview. During the conversation, the celebrity wife opened up about her marriage and shared her thoughts on what it has been like living life with her husband.
EXCLUSIVE: Sunita Ahuja speaks on the mistake made in husband Govinda’s marriage!
Speaking to IHNS, Sunita Ahuja reflected on her husband’s mistakes and said, “One should take care of oneself. A person makes mistakes when he is young, I have done it, Govinda too has done it. When you reach a certain age, it is unbecoming of you to make mistakes. Why else, you have a beautiful family.” If you have a wife and beautiful children, why?”
(You have to control yourself. When a person is young, it’s okay to make mistakes. I have made mistakes, and so has Govinda. But when you reach a certain age, those mistakes don’t look good on you. Besides, why make such mistakes when you have a beautiful family, a loving wife and wonderful kids?)
When asked if she ever talked to Govinda about this, she said, “His thinking is different. I have different thinking. Today I am alive because I love my children very much. I feel that my children should love only me. When Tina was young, I used to irritate her a lot. If I asked her whether she loves dad or me, she chooses dad, loves me and also supports me.”
(Their thinking is different, and mine is different. If I am alive today, it is because of my children and my love for them. I used to think that my children should only love me. When Tina was young, I would tease her and ask her whether she loved her father or me more, and she would choose her father. But she also loves me and supports me.)
Sunita further said, “My son and I are very close. I don’t have any friends in my life. Yash takes me for dinner. Tina also takes me. No, I don’t believe in friendship.”
(I am very close to my son. Yash and Tina often take me out for dinner. I don’t really have any other friends in my life, I don’t believe in friendship.)
Continuing to talk about her husband, she said, “Look, he (Govinda) is a hero. What can I say about him, he spends more time with heroines than his wife. To become a star’s wife, you have to be a very strong woman. You have to have a heart made of stone. It took me 38 years of marriage to realize this. I didn’t know this in my youth.”
(Govinda is a hero – what can I say? He has spent more time with heroines than his wife. It takes a very strong woman to be a star’s wife. You have to make your heart as hard as a stone. It took me 38 years of marriage to realize this; I didn’t understand this when I was younger.)
When asked if she would like Govinda as her husband in the next life, Sunita said, “I don’t want. I have already told you. Govinda is a very good son, he is a very good brother, but not a husband. In the next life, you are born as my son, you don’t want a husband. Forget the birth together, this birth is enough.”
(I don’t want that. I already made it clear. Govinda is a very good son and a very good brother, but not a good husband. In the next life you are born as my son – I don’t want you as my husband. Forget seven births; this one life is enough.)
