An article in Mid-Day reported that Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan shot a grand action sequence near Churchgate Railway Station. It was a cat and mouse chase sequence and involved 30–40 cars and 100 junior actors. Filming at this location lasted for 5 nights and was choreographed by action director Stunt Silva.
The article contained a quote from Priyadarshan stating, “Both Saif and Akshay knew how to shoot the sequences and cooperated, although Akshay is known to go to bed early.”

During its tenth anniversary, its producer Vipul Shah told IHNS how a star like Akshay managed to shoot on the streets, “Mr. AR Murugadoss planned it meticulously. We had about sixteen hidden cameras. We had marked the entire route and we knew we would only be able to film one shot at a time… That’s because the moment people saw Akshay at the Bandra signal, there was going to be chaos. To get a glimpse of him, a few Thousands of people would gather at the same time. Since Akshay’s character was in the crowd, we shot quickly. We used the parking lot of Gaiety-Galaxy. Otherwise, we got a chance to do the retake only after 2-3 hours.”
