The reception of the film has now gone beyond regular moviegoers, it is also getting support from schools and even residential societies which are organizing mass visits to theatres.

In many cities, schools have begun taking students to special screenings, with the film being seen as an opportunity to introduce young audiences to a defining chapter of India’s military history. Teachers and administrators have noted that the film presents a straightforward depiction of courage and commitment, allowing students to understand the idea of service to the nation through an actual historical event.
Residential societies have also responded in an organized manner. A co-operative housing society issued a notice encouraging residents to watch the movie together. The message highlighted the importance of acknowledging the contribution of 13 Kumaon Regiment and read in part:
“Residents are requested to come together to watch 120 brave In theaters and stand for the heroes who stood for the country. Let’s book a show and bask in his glory.”
The society booked a 9 pm screening at Rajhans Cinema for its members, adding to the growing trend of community-led viewing.
120 brave It commemorates the courage shown by 120 soldiers of 13 Kumaon Regiment who fought in the Battle of Rejang La during the 1962 war. Farhan Akhtar plays the role of Param Vir Chakra awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati, who led the group. The film’s story outlines the regiment’s resolve, encapsulated in the words “We will not retreat”, a line that reflects the spirit with which the soldiers faced overwhelming odds.
Directed by Rajneesh ‘Rezzi’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar and Amit Chandra, the film is an Excel Entertainment production. It is currently running in theaters across the country.
