Ajay Devgan was among the first to announce an Eid 2026 release for his comic character, Dhamaal 4. However, the release period has become crowded in the last few weeks, as Ranveer Singh and team Jio Studios have announced Dhurandhar 2 for the coveted holiday period. Yash will also arrive along with Toxic on this day. Keeping in mind the complexities of the box office, Ajay Devgan has taken a big step.

Very reliable sources confirm that Ajay Devgan and team have moved away from the Eid 2026 window. A source tells IHNS, “After several rounds of discussions, and after the historic success of Dhurandhar, Ajay Devgan does not want to take the risk of clashing with the sequel of this Aditya Dhar film. He and his team are now looking to release the film in the month of May 2026.”
The source also confirmed that the decision is practical, as Ajay is not someone who has the ego to go out on dates, as he was the first to announce it. “Ajay has always been someone who stands up for the industry, and he is well aware of the fact that Dhurandhar 2 could redefine the film business for Bollywood. He is in tune with the business of the first part and does not want to bring a cheesy film against a film that tells the public of India about political conflicts. He feels that Dhurandhar is an important franchise that deserves candid exposure.”
The new date of Dhamaal 4 could be in the summer 2026 period, preferably May 2026, which can attract kids to the theatres.
