Filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga has postponed his New Year break plans to pursue filming on his much-awaited police action drama. SoulStarring Prabhas, Tripti Dimri and Vivek Oberoi. According to a report in Mid-Day, the decision was taken to speed up production so that the project can meet its planned release deadline of mid-2027.

Originally, Soul Its first schedule was to be shot till December and then stop for the New Year holiday. However, Vanga and her team decided to continue filming throughout New Year’s week, with production now expected to last until at least the first week of January before taking a short break. The report quoted a source close to the film as saying that the director has canceled holiday plans to finish the shooting ahead of schedule.
The film marks Vanga’s first collaboration with both Prabhas and Vivek Oberoi. Insiders say the director is planning specific looks for the stars – a move reminiscent of Vanga’s previous film Animal Bobby Deol presented in an unexpected avatar – which shows Soul The filmmaker’s distinctive visual and narrative style will continue.
Soul Shooting began in Hyderabad on 27 November, and the extended schedule means the cast and crew are now working through late December and January to keep the production on track.
As it stands, Soul Powered by its high-profile star cast and the creative vision of one of Bollywood’s most celebrated directors, it is shaping up to be one of the most-watched Indian films of 2027.
