Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is all set to release on the big screen on Christmas 2025. This quirky romantic comedy drama directed by Sameer Vidwans has started its advance booking today on December 22, three days ahead of its grand release. So far, the film has recorded slow pre-sales.
As of 7 pm on Monday, the Kartik Aryan and Ananya Panday starrer sold around 1,750 tickets across the top two national chains, PVR Inox and Cinepolis, on the opening day, which is the Christmas holiday. Of these, 1,200 admissions were recorded in PVR Inox.
Compared to the holdover releases on Christmas, Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri lagged far behind. For the record, Dhurandhar sold around 8,600 tickets, while Avatar 3 recorded over 11,000 admissions at the same time in the national chains.
The poor progress of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri should be a big concern for the makers, as it could become a problem in getting a solid performance against the two giants.
However, this kind of progress isn’t surprising, as the rom-com genre in general has been struggling in the post-pandemic era. What was trending earlier is no longer attracting much audience. Furthermore, the promotional material – be it teaser, trailer, or songs – nothing could leave any impression on the audience, creating curiosity among the audience. Nevertheless, there are still two days left for the romantic comedy drama to gain momentum and get good pre-bookings before the first show begins.
As per IHNS Predictions, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is expected to open around Rs. 6 crore to Rs. 10 crores in India, which would be a dull opening for such a well-budgeted film with a popular star cast.
