Exclusive: Jaideep Ahlawat to join Ajay Devgan and Tabu in Drishyam 3

The Drishyam franchise is gearing up to make a comeback in a big way with its third installment, which is already being touted as its most ambitious chapter yet. After the massive success of the first two films, Drishyam 3 is expected to bring unexpected twists like never before and the first teaser is proof of it. Now, IHNS has exclusively learned that Jaideep Ahlawat has officially joined the cast and will be seen sharing screen space with Ajay Devgan and Tabu for the first time in the franchise.

Known for his impressive screen presence, Ahlawat’s entry will give a big boost to the project. A source close to the development revealed, “Jaideep will start shooting for Drishyam 3 in January 2026. He has been roped in for an important and extremely exciting role which will add a new twist to the story.”

Ajay Devgan is set to reprise his iconic role as Vijay Salgaonkar, while Tabu will once again step into the shoes of IG Mira Deshmukh, continuing their intense confrontation.

Meanwhile, the film is also in the news due to the recent news of Akshay Khanna leaving the project amid the success of Dhurandhar. Although no official statement has been issued by the producers or the actor, reports suggest that the walk-out may have been due to disagreements over remuneration.

For those unaware, the Drishyam franchise began in 2013 with the release of Jeethu Joseph’s Malayalam crime thriller, produced by Antony Perumbavoor’s Ashirwad Cinemas and starring Mohanlal in the role of George Kutty. Two years later, Panorama Studios headed by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak acquired the Hindi remake rights and released the adaptation directed by the late Nishikant Kamat, starring Ajay Devgan, Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor and others.
