The film is an adaptation of the book ‘White Khaki’ written by Subhash Shinde’s daughter Atharva Shinde. In an interview given to Mid-Day in November 2025, he had revealed that Nishikant Kamat Mumbai my love (2008) and Drishyam (2015) Prasidh was impressed by the story and wanted to make a film at one point. But this project was halted after his death in 2020.

But later, Farhad Samji came on board and has now written the script and dialogues along with Piyush Singh. “I feel extremely happy and deeply grateful that Farhad Samji is writing the script and dialogues for my story,” Atharva told Mid-Day.

Additionally, Sachin Tendulkar’s elder brother and respected lyricist of Marathi cinema, Nitin Ramesh Tendulkar will write the songs for the film.
