In the first video posted by Shah, he showed footage of a residential flat engulfed in flames and described the sequence of events. He claimed that around 200 people were campaigning when a firecracker released by the team entered a neighboring apartment, causing a fire. “This is done by stupid people… where is the civic sense of the people? They burst rockets just because elections are being held in Bandra East,” he said, stressing his concern for residents living in the area, including elderly persons.

Shah said that the preachers responsible for the alleged fire have left the spot. Understanding the intensity of the moment and the danger it posed to the community, he said, “The people who set this fire have fled… My house is right next to it, so I had to get out.” In his Instagram caption, he clarified that he had no political affiliations, but stressed the need for accountability among those appointed for campaign activities. He wrote, “I have no affiliation with any political party!!! But when you appoint teams to campaign for your elections, please make sure they have some common sense.”

In a follow-up video, Shah delved deeper into his perspective on the incident. “I understand it is election time and people are campaigning. But where is the rule that they have to burst crackers during the campaign?” He raised the question highlighting the danger posed by fireworks in densely populated residential areas. He said, “Whatever building they enter, they burst crackers… The fire has now been extinguished, but that house belonged to a civil servant. There was no one in the house, so they could not control the fire; so the fire spread.” Clarifying his position, he emphasized that his comments were motivated by a concern for public safety rather than political motives.

Shah’s social media posts caught the attention of followers, many of whom echoed his call for greater awareness and responsible behavior during election campaigns. In his note, he made a direct appeal to people to recognize the serious risks associated with the use of fireworks near homes. He wrote, “This is not a natural disaster, it is caused by ignorant people. Take accountability…it is high time.”
