Released on 8 January – coinciding with Yash’s 40th birthday – the teaser immediately attracted widespread attention for its stylish, bold imagery, including a brief intimate scene involving Yash and a woman inside a car. While some viewers have praised the aesthetic and adventurous tone of the teaser, others have criticized the content as inappropriate for general audiences.

In its complaint, the AAP women’s wing argued that the scenes “adversely impact the social well-being of women and children” and undermine Kannada cultural values, according to an NDTV report. The party has urged the Karnataka State Commission for Women to direct the state government to withdraw or cancel the teaser and remove it from social media platforms. AAP members also called for strict laws to regulate public dissemination of such content and ensure cultural responsibility on digital platforms.

After AAP state secretary Usha Mohan lodged a complaint, reiterating that the teaser was made publicly available without any age restrictions or content warnings, the party says the move compromises the dignity of women and exposes minors to inappropriate content. He called for immediate intervention from both the Commission and state authorities.

The Karnataka State Commission for Women has received the complaint and is expected to review it as per established procedures. There has been no official response from the Commission yet on whether it will initiate any further action.
