The film is based on the life of Prashanti, a young woman brought up in a traditional and conservative family with patriarchal values. After her relationship with her college lecturer turns abusive, her marriage is arranged with Omkar, a male chauvinist who asserts dominance through violence, plunging their marriage into chaos.
After enduring repeated abuse, Prasanthi eventually fights back, leading to a major change in her life. It then reveals her struggle against social norms and the challenges she faces in her quest for dignity and self-respect.
Apart from Tharun Bhaskar and Isha Rebba, the film also stars Brahmaji, Brahmanandam and others in important roles.
