The film took the international shows by storm and forced everyone to watch SS Rajamouli’s period drama.
But it seems like the director wants to get more out of his creation. So, they have decided to adapt RRR into an anime. Speaking to Polygon, the Indian filmmaker revealed that he is in talks with a few studios in Japan to make RRR in an anime. Rajamouli further added, “So I’m waiting for things to be completed. Hopefully that will happen, and hopefully we can announce a great continuation of the RRR anime.”
For those unaware, the film was also released in Japan, with tickets selling out in just 60 seconds. The producers also revealed that the film was still playing in theaters 1.5 years after its theatrical release in Japan.
From its impressive story, impressive music, trending dance moves and stellar casting, everything was done perfectly by the skilled team. Apparently, it was the most expensive Indian film at the time of its release. While the domestic audience was excited for the mass entertainer, the audience at the 95th Academy Awards couldn’t stop themselves from giving the film a thunderous applause.
Its song, Naatu Naatu got everyone grooving to its tune, winning it the Oscar for Best Original Song. The film, directed by DVV Danayya, also won six awards at the 69th National Film Awards.
