Hollywood film Marty Supreme is maintaining a good hold at the Indian box office. Released in India on the Republic Day weekend along with Border 2, Marti Supreme has recorded good occupancy so far, despite having a limited release. For the record, it was released in only 320 shows in India, where it managed to gain popularity due to its impressive hold and retained more than 100 shows in its third weekend.
The Timothée Chalamet-starrer has earned around Rs 6 crore in its 17-day theatrical run in India. Directed by Josh Safdie, Marty Supreme also received nominations in nine categories at the 98th Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best Actor. This may impact its theatrical performance in India, as the film is expected to run for a few weeks.
Based on current trends, Marti Supreme is expected to make around Rs. It is expected to close its entire theatrical run with a net collection of Rs. 7.50 crores in India, which would be an impressive figure for a limited Hollywood release. The film has received positive response among critics, earning well at the box office so far.
On the global front, the film has already become A24’s highest-grossing film, surpassing Everywhere All at Once. The R-rated film grossed approximately US$147 million by the end of its 7th weekend. Now it is moving towards the US$150 million mark worldwide.
