Vadh 2 box office collection Day 5: Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta’s film continues to remain at a discounted price on Tuesday

Vadh 2, directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu and starring senior actors Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta in the lead, failed to register any growth on its first discounted Tuesday. A bounce was not recorded on Tuesday as it was running with a buy-one-get-one offer since the release, which eventually balanced it out.

The crime thriller earned Rs. 25 lakhs on the 5th day, taking the total earning to Rs. Earning 2.60 crores at Indian box office. Based on current trends, the film is expected to collect around Rs. 15,000 in its second week. Total 3 crores nett. Slaughter 2 had a promising debut, raising business expectations. But, till now the film has been able to register only normal trends when it needed extraordinary grip.

Nevertheless, the sequel has already surpassed the lifespan of its first film. If the film manages to survive after the release of ‘O Romeo’, it could reach Rs. 3.50–4 crore figure by the end of its theatrical run. This is a victory of sorts for the film and deserves praise. However, some sections of the business appear unwilling to recognize the value in such results.

One portal even says that “there really shouldn’t be a second part.” A film with no face value is likely to do about ten times more business than its predecessor, even at a lower level of business, which clearly indicates some appreciation. To dismiss its existence outright is short-sighted. Moreover, at a time when the industry suffers from a lack of releases for several weeks a year, it is counterproductive to discourage films that get at least some audience. Beyond the box office math, filmmaking is fundamentally an art, and the idea of suppressing films simply because they don’t attract mass audiences is deeply flawed.

The box office collection of Vadh 2 is as follows:

sunday Rupee. 0.90 crore.
monday Rupee. 0.25 crore.
