Salman Khan shoots a patriotic song for the Battle of Galwan on the request of Defense Minister
To enhance the emotional content of the product, Salman called up his director Apoorva Lakhia last week and asked him to shoot a patriotic song paying tribute to the real-life soldiers on whom the film is based.
A source in the know reveals, “They shot the song literally overnight. Salman wanted to sing the song for the end-credits to pay tribute to all the martyrs featured in the film. Director Apoorva Lakhia, who was on a short break, had to come back and shoot the song.”
The song, written and sung by Ayaan Lal (son of actress Kunika Lal), is filmed on Salman as the end credits roll. As soon as Salman lip-syncs, the names and pictures of martyred soldiers will start flashing on the screen.
Ayaan Lal played a small soul in Salman’s film Alexander.
The request for this military tribute came from Defense Minister Rajnath Singh himself.
