Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil has almost finished its theatrical run at the Indian box office. The film grossed around Rs. 50,000 in its fourth week. Expecting to do a business of Rs. 1 crore to tally. This will bring the total fee to a little less than Rs. 35 crores at the Indian box office, which will be its dramatic ending.
The political satire film starring Jeeva directed by Nitish Sahdev has done well so far. The film had a good start and then went on to earn Rs 100 crore. Earned ₹22.75 crore in its opening week, thanks to the Pongal festival. The film continued to perform well and collected Rs. 8 crores in the second week, then Rs. 2.75 crores in the third week. Of its total theatrical spend, around Rs 31 crore came from Tamil Nadu alone, while the rest came from Indian markets.
When compared to its rival release, Va Vaathiyar, the film managed to perform better and ended its theatrical run on a positive note. Thalaivar Thambi Thalaimayil is now releasing on OTT platform this weekend.
