If you are planning to watch the movie online, here is the IHNS review for you.
plot
Baby Girl is the story of Sanal Mathew, a hospital attendant, where a three-day-old baby goes missing. Although the police immediately got involved in the investigation, they are unable to conduct a massive search operation across the city as several officers have been deputed for the event to be attended by the Chief Minister.
During their investigation, the police interviewed Sanal, whose statements led them to believe that a woman wearing a burqa had kidnapped the child. However, the story soon changes when Sanal himself becomes a suspect, with a growing mystery surrounding him. Furthermore, brother-sister Ritu and Rishi are also caught in this complex web of confusion and mystery.
What follows is a story of drama and mystery, focusing on where the baby is and how everything turns out okay.
Good
Baby Girl works partly because of its performances. While Nivin Pauly does a good job with the material given to him, Lijomol Jose and Sangeeth Pratap stand out with their acting, giving a balanced portrayal of their characters.
The backbone of the story ultimately depends on these characters, and they play their roles to the best of their ability, even if the film doesn’t live up to its potential later on.
Speaking of technical aspects, the visuals are something that stands out from the other elements, providing some solace in an otherwise dull watch. Other than that, the editing does a good job, keeping the runtime limited to two hours.
bad
Baby Girl failed to succeed as an entertaining venture mainly because of its poor writing. The film and its characters lack the necessary texture to effectively balance drama and suspense.
Written by Bobby and Sanjay, the laziness is undoubtedly visible in the film, making it a snooze fest. Since the written material is below par, Arun Verma’s execution also comes across as a failed attempt, faltering on many levels.
Despite the limited duration, every episode of the script seems difficult to understand, making the entire film a boring experience from a storytelling point of view.
Display
Lijomol Jose and Sangeeth Pratap are the strongest actors in Baby Girl, and they do justice to their characters. However, even though Nivin Pauly plays the lead role, it feels strange to see him in this film.
The character he is given lacks nuance, making his role seem more like an extended cameo than an actual lead.

Baby Girl is a snooze fest on OTT too. Even if you are a die-hard fan of Nivin Pauly, this film may fail to impress you. Had the writing been more balanced, this could have been a great watch.
