Yash Raj Films’ latest production venture, Mardaani 3, opened well on its third Friday. As per estimates, the police action drama has collected around Rs. 70 to 75 lakh on the 15th day, a decline of 35 percent compared to Thursday. The decline compared to last Friday is about 63 percent. Considering two new releases, Shahid Kapoor’s O’ Romeo and Adarsh Gaurav’s Tu Ya Main, Mardaani 3 recorded a good hold this weekend.
This film starring Rani Mukherjee has crossed the Rs crore mark. Earning Rs 40 crore on 15th day at Indian box office. Based on current trends, Mardaani 3 is targeting Rs. 3.50 crore weekend and approx. Rupee. 5-6 crores in the third week, which will make it the highest grossing film of the franchise. For the record, Mardaani 2 made Rs. 46 crores during his entire tenure. One thing that has been going wrong with films recently is that the costs have increased a lot. The price of a film which used to be XA a few years ago has increased to 2 times, some even 3 times. Mardaani 3 has done well in this regard as the film has been made on a controlled budget. Although it cost twice as much as Mardaani 2, the film had solid non-theatrical recovery, so overall recovery was not an issue. Approximately Rs.
