Chhatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies was released in theaters on January 22, 2026. Directed by debutant Advaith Nair, the action comedy film is touted to be Malayalam cinema’s first WWE-inspired venture.

Chhath Pacha is set to release on the OTT platform Netflix and will start streaming from February 19, 2026. The update was shared by the platform through its social media handles.
Sharing the update, the team wrote: “Ithu Verum Costume Gusthi Mathram Alla, Ithu Athukkam Mele…Onnam Nokkanda (It’s not just costume wrestling, it’s much beyond that), Chhatha Pacha. Watch Chhatha Pacha on Netflix on 19th February in Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada.”

Chhatha Pacha: The Ring of Rowdies stars Roshan Mathew, Arjun Ashokan, Vishaq Nair, Ishaan Shaukat, Siddiqui, Lakshmi Menon, Rafi, Carmen S Mathew, Dartgnan Sabu, Muthumani, Minon, Tosh Christie, Toj Christie, Thesni Khan and many others in lead roles. Additionally, Mammootty plays a cameo role as “Bullet” Walter Lobo in the film.
The film is directed by Advaith Nair, making his directorial debut. Interestingly, Advaith is the nephew of superstar Mohanlal.
The screenplay is written by Sanoop Thykoodam, with musical tracks composed by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Mujeeb Majeed has composed the background score for the film.
Shihaan Shaukat and Ritesh S. under the banner of Reel World Entertainment. Produced by Ramakrishnan, the film has cinematography by Anand C. Chandran, while editing is by Praveen Prabhakar.
Upon its theatrical release, the film received mixed to positive reviews, with criticism mainly directed towards the story and Mammootty’s cameo.
