Hollywood veteran actor Robert Duvall is no longer with us. The Academy Award winner, best known for playing iconic characters in films like The Godfather and Apocalypse Now, died at his home at the age of 95. The sad news was confirmed by his wife, Luciana Pedraza, in an official statement.

The entertainment world has lost another gem, a legend and an incredible personality, Robert Duvall. The actor died on Sunday, according to the BBC, which was confirmed by his wife Luciana Duvall on Monday.
“Yesterday we said goodbye to our beloved husband, dear friend, and one of the greatest actors of our time. Bob passed away peacefully at home,” she said in the statement. Mrs. Duvall further said that to the world, he was an Academy Award-winning actor, a director, a storyteller and to her, he was everything. An emotional wife said, “His passion for his art was matched only by his deep love for characters, fine dining and holding a court.”
