O’Romeo grossed approximately US$1.88 million (₹17 crore) from overseas markets during its first week. Combined with Rs. 51 crore (Rs 42.50 crore net) from the Indian domestic market, which is Rs. Earning Rs 68 crore at the worldwide box office.
While the first week business in India is similar to Shahid Kapoor’s other recent film Teri Baton Main Uljha Jiya, which was released in February 2024. In the first week the foreign business dropped to US$2.80 million, which Teri Baat Mein Main Aisa Uljha Jiya had. It is not that Teri Baat Mein Jiya had performed particularly strongly abroad; Its performance was rated decent to good, while that of O Romeo was below par. The reduction was steep across the board, with the Middle East somewhat close, while the United States showed the largest gap, about half of the TBMAUJ, followed by the United Kingdom and Australia – New Zealand.
Jiya found her footing and almost doubled the business in the first week to Rs. Nett is US$82.50 crore in India and US$5.35 million overseas, making it a nett of Rs. An amount of 143 crores worldwide. O’Romeo is not expected to do so and will probably spend half of it overseas and around Rs. Nett in India more or less Rs 60-65 crore. 100 crore mark worldwide.
Given its relatively high cost, O’Romeo ideally needs to outperform Teri Baton Main Aisa Uljha Jiya, not lag behind it.
The territorial details of O’Romeo’s overseas box office collections are as follows:
