O’Romo didn’t show any growth in its second Tuesday as the expected surge was balanced out with a buy-one-get-one offer in its debut. The Shahid Kapoor and Tripti Dimri starrer earned Rs 1.25 crore on Tuesday, taking its second week collection to Rs 1.25 crore. Earning Rs 10 crore in 5 days.
Its associated with Rs. O’Romeo’s total earnings in the first week reached Rs 42 crore. Earned Rs 52 crore in 12 days of theatrical release. This is expected to impact the rupee. 55 crore figure by the end of this week. The film will face competition from The Kerala Story 2 in the coming weekend and then the next two weeks will obviously go on. He said, Shahid Kapoor’s film can remain in theaters till Dhurandhar 2 and Toxic come out.
Based on current trends, the Vishal Bhardwaj directorial is expected to close its entire theatrical run at around Rs. 60 crores at the Indian box office, which is not a good total for such a well budgeted film.
Not that it changes anything for the film, it just, at one point, even reaches Rs. Earning Rs 50 crore felt like an impossible task, but with the help of BOGO offers and this open run, it has got there and then some. BOGO offers may boost the NETT numbers a bit, but they take a toll on SHARE because you are paying for that extra free ticket that gets taken out of SHARE. So this isn’t really an economic benefit, more a perception plus, but hey… choosing between two poisons, it’s better than feeding straight away.
