Actress Sana Maqbul is all set to make her debut on the digital platform with the upcoming series Begum of Crime, which will stream on Hungama OTT. Known for her work in television and reality shows, the actress is now venturing into the OTT sector, which she describes as a natural progression in her career.

Speaking about the change, Maqbul said, “Moving into OTT feels like a natural evolution for me as an actor. Over the years, I have always wanted to explore roles that challenge me and inspire me to creatively explore new sides of myself. The digital space offers that freedom to actors today.” Maqbul first gained recognition through television shows and later appeared in many reality programs and made his presence felt continuously on the small screen. The actress said that she was careful in choosing the project that would mark her digital debut. “I didn’t want to rush my OTT debut. I was waiting for something that would really excite me as an artiste and also give me a chance to grow. When this opportunity came, I felt it was the right time and the right project to take this step.” Maqbul also highlighted how digital platforms have changed the way stories are told.
