The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond, starring Ulka Gupta, Aishwarya Ojha and Aditi Bhatia in the lead roles, has collected Rs. 60 lakhs were earned in the fourth week. This is a huge drop from last week. However, it was already expected as it faced Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge in theatres. As soon as the Ranveer Singh starrer hit the theatres, it brought all the stalled releases to a halt.
Directed by Kamakhya Narayan Singh, this film took its earning to Rs 20 crore. Earning Rs 42.10 crore at the Indian box office. This will cause a complete halt at the box office as there is not much fuel left in the film. Had Dhurandhar 2 not happened, the film would have easily made around Rs. The figure of 50 crores.
Nevertheless, The Kerala Story 2 is a successful venture as the film’s budget was controlled. However, when compared to the first film, the sequel falls nowhere short. The original film was a blockbuster, earning Rs. Collected Rs 6.75 crore and Rs. Earned Rs 220 crore during his entire tenure. Some films from the region enjoyed major success in early 2020, but have seen a decline since then. For example, The Bengal Files fell below The Kashmir Files. Kashmir Files 2 will also see a big drop from the original, but it will perform well for its cost.
The box office collections of The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond in India are as follows:
