A new creative force may soon emerge from the prestigious Roshan family. Hrithik Roshan’s younger son Hridan Roshan has taken his first step towards a career in cinema by enrolling in a film production course in the United States.
Another Roshan is being made? Hridhaan Roshan went to USC to study filmmaking
The 17-year-old will study film and television production at the prestigious University of Southern California, a globally renowned institution known for shaping some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. The news was shared by his alma mater, American School of Bombay, on Instagram.
The school shared a photo of Hridan with the USC logo, writing, “It’s no surprise to us that C. Hridan would be studying Film and TV Production at USC! Congratulations Hridan, we are so proud.” The announcement was met with an outpouring of love from friends and family, including cousin Fizza Ali, who cheered her on in the comments.
Hridhaan is the younger son of Hrithik Roshan and his ex-wife Sussanne Khan. He comes from a lineage deeply rooted in the film industry – his grandfather Rakesh Roshan is a renowned actor-filmmaker, while his maternal grandfather Sanjay Khan is also a prominent name in Indian cinema.
Interestingly, Hrithik is all set to step behind the camera soon with plans to direct the next installment of the popular Krrish franchise. With Hridhaan now formally training in filmmaking, there is already speculation as to whether he will carry on the family’s cinematic legacy.
While it remains to be seen what path Hridhaan ultimately chooses, his decision to study filmmaking at such a prestigious institution certainly indicates a strong inclination towards storytelling and cinema – perhaps indicating that Roshan’s legacy is set to continue into the next generation.
