Jan Nayakan team warns public against downloading the film online
Thalapathy Vijay’s last film Jana Nayagan came into limelight after it was leaked on social media. After the scene went viral online, the makers took the matter into their own hands and issued a strict statement. In the notice, the legal team representing the production house, KVN Productions LLP, expressed “shock and urgency that certain scenes from the film Jana Nayakan have been illegally accessed, downloaded, copied and disseminated.”
“The film has been produced with an investment of several hundred crores of rupees and the film has huge theatrical, satellite, OTT and commercial value,” he underlined.
Having said this, he warned of action if the leaked scenes were accessed. “It is hereby informed that downloading, forwarding, sharing, uploading, reposting, storing or transmitting such leaked scenes or clips of the movie Jan Nayakan through WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram, Facebook, Xx, YouTube, websites, torrents or any other digital medium amounts to a serious criminal offense and copyright infringement and every person involved will be personally liable for criminal action.”
The team mentioned that the makers have already taken strict action against the person who downloaded and forwarded the scenes from the film illegally. “Further action is being taken proactively against all individuals involved in such illegal dissemination,” the statement said.
Concluding the notice, the lawyer asked the public not to download, receive, store, forward, share or disseminate any leaked material related to Jan Nayakan. He concluded, “Any person hereafter found to be involved in such acts will face immediate civil and criminal proceedings at his own risk.”
While superstar Vijay is leading the pack, director H. Vinoth’s upcoming film stars him along with Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Mamita Baiju, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narayan, Priyamani and others. Jana Nayagan was earlier scheduled to release on January 9, 2026. However, it was delayed due to certification issues.
