Suspense on Salman Khan-Chitrangada Singh’s much awaited film HomelandContinuing. This film was announced battle of galwan and renamed Homeland earlier this year. The film is based on the 2020 conflict between India and China and since relations between the two countries have recently improved, the Defense Ministry had objections to the content of the film. We have now learned from a reliable source that as per the ministry’s directive, China cannot be mentioned in the film.

A source told”Earlier, the film was inspired by a real incident. But as per the request of the Defense Ministry, Salman Khan and director Apoorva Lakhia re-shot the film by adding a fictional spin to the story. Accordingly, they re-shot about 40% of the film as they added some romantic scenes, backstory etc. The makers submitted the new cut, hoping that they will get the NOC. But the ministry is still apprehensive.”
“One request from Salman Khan is that China should not be mentioned in the film. This was already conveyed to the producers,” the source said. HomelandWhich was presented earlier this month, there is no mention of China.
