When Arijit Singh announced that he would no longer do playback singing, fans were heartbroken. Over the years, Hindi music lovers have enjoyed his songs, which have been an integral part of Hindi cinema. After that news came out, there was a lot of discussion about Arijit Singh becoming a film director. He has cast Shora Siddiqui, daughter of popular actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
We have some more tea for all those wondering what Arijit Singh is up to. He was recently shooting in London with his actors; This is a film which he is producing and directing. A source tells IHNS, “This is a concept that was in Arijit’s mind, and he thought it was best to create it and support it himself, so that he has the creative freedom, which is extremely important for a creative artiste.”
The story revolves around three young people, one of whom is played by Shora Siddiqui, who come from very different strata of society. What makes it interesting is how their worlds, shaped by privilege, struggle and circumstance, collide and collide with each other.
As they undertake their individual journeys, the film explores how class, opportunity and environment shape choices, ambitions and even morality. Despite their differences, you get a bird’s eye view of three very different lives.
At its core, the story is not just about three individuals; It’s about the contradictions of their world, which we see all around us, mainly in big cities.
It is not clear whether Arijit will release it himself or give it to a big production house after it is ready. “We don’t know right now. Right now, he’s supporting it, that’s all I can say, but you never know what will happen in the future,” the source told BH.
