After sparking conversation and earning critical praise during its theatrical run, Asi Hindi is set for its digital premiere on ZEE5 on 17th April. Directed by Anubhav Sinha and produced by Banaras Media Works and T-Series Films, Asi It stars a powerhouse cast including Taapsee Pannu, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Kani Kusruti, Revathi, Manoj Pahwa, Kumud Mishra, Naseeruddin Shah, Supriya Pathak and Seema Pahwa.

A tough courtroom drama, Asi It follows a lawyer (Taapsee Pannu) who takes on a brutal rape case, confronting not only the crime but also the systemic indifference surrounding it. In one shocking moment, the film outlines a grim reality – nearly 80 rape cases were reported in a single day – which heightens the urgency of its narrative. It traces the journey of a survivor and his partner (Kani Kusruti and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub) whose lives are shattered by violence, as they navigate trauma, societal judgment and an unforgiving legal system. Based on the reality of increasing sexual violence and delayed justice, Asi Highlights the emotional and social consequences that often go unspoken.
