Trailer of debutant filmmaker Ritwik Pareek dug dug Offers the first glimpse of the film’s whimsical world – a comedy-mystery satire that playfully manipulates faith, magic and logic. The trailer was unveiled by its four executive producers, Anurag Kashyap, Nikhil Advani, Vikramaditya Motwane and Vasan Bala, who have come together to present the film.

“God only knows what game he plays,” opens dug dugAs one character describes the death of a villager – it sets the tone for what happens next. The mystery deepens when the bike the man was riding disappears from a police station, and then reappears at the same place where he died.
Inspired by true events, dug dug A strange phenomenon is discovered in a village where a dead man’s motorcycle is believed to fulfill wishes – provided devotees pray to it and offer liquor. As word spreads and prayers begin to be “answered”, the faith turns into a full-fledged, commercialized religion.
The trailer establishes the whimsical, magical tone of the film, which DOP Aditya S. The story unfolds through tragic, dreamy sequences shot by Kumar, which complement Ritwik Pareek’s screenplay. The film is scheduled to release on Indian screens on May 8.
dug dug Produced by Bottle Rocket Pictures, led by Prerna Pareek and Ritwik Pareek, and will be released in Indian theaters in association with Ranjan Singh’s Flip Films.
After its premiere at TIFF, dug dug Screened at several international festivals including Santa Barbara International Film Festival, Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, MAMI Mumbai Film Festival and International Film Festival of Kerala.
The film stars Altaf Khan, Gaurav Soni, Yogendra Singh and Durga Lal Saini.
