PVR has announced a special film festival dedicated to veteran filmmaker David Dhawan, which will bring back many of his popular entertainers on the big screen. Although the makers have not shared any reason for the postponement, the date has been changed following a reshuffle in the release plans. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Adultswhich previously occupied the June release window before being delayed again.
As part of the David Dhawan Festival, PVR will re-release five films spanning the director’s successful career spanning decades. Selected titles include I am your hero, partner, why did I love you, Raja Babu And eyes.
David Dhawan is considered one of the most successful mainstream comedy directors of Hindi cinema, known for delivering crowd-pleasing entertainers in the 1990s and 2000s. His films often mixed comedy, family drama, music and star power, making them regular television favorites even years after their release.
The line-up also highlights his collaborations with leading stars across multiple generations, including Salman Khan, Govinda and Varun Dhawan.
