Tips Music Limited has responded to allegations made by Vashu Bhagnani’s Pooja Entertainment in the ongoing legal dispute over music and intellectual property rights.
Tips denies allegations made by Pooja Entertainment in legal dispute, calling them ‘malicious’ and ‘ill-conceived’
Recently, Pooja Entertainment approached a court in Bihar claiming that its films, songs and other copyrighted material were allegedly being used and commercially exploited by Tips without proper permission. The court granted interim protection and directed the parties concerned to maintain status quo in the case.
Responding to the allegations, Tips released an official statement denying the claims and saying that he is the legitimate owner of the music rights involved in the controversy.
“While formal copies of the order are awaited, Tips makes clear that it is the rightful owner of the relevant music rights, supported by valid and binding agreements between the parties. Tips has openly and lawfully exploited these rights for nearly three decades in full compliance with applicable laws,” the statement said.
The statement further said, “The claims made by PEIL (Pooja Entertainment India Limited) are strongly disputed and appear to be malicious, misconceived and intended to malign the reputation and goodwill of Tips. Tips is fully confident of defending its rights before the appropriate courts and will take all necessary legal steps to protect its interests and ownership of the rights.”
The matter is currently under legal consideration and further proceedings are awaited.
